Gillespie + Partners were the architect and interior designer consultants as part of a successful design – build team led by the main contractor.
The greenfield site is prominently located along the Clause Noel Highway with its main natural feature being a young samman tree at the east end of the site.
The site planning was aimed at presenting a strong building image to the main thoroughfare, vehicular circulation for a drive thru ATM facility and the preservation of the tree. It is envisioned that the Client would undertake the effective up -lighting of the tree to augment the Bank’s presence.
The building consists of 2 floors with a separation of functions in accordance with the Bank’s functional requirements. A defined entry vestibule with stairs, elevator and customer washroom facilities contained within satisfies the Bank’s desire to control and separate customer circulation to the various departments.
The full height window in the stair well provides the opportunity of viewing the samaan tree in the distance.
The main façade is fully glazed and is oriented to the south and the Claude Noel Highway. Along with the use of Client prescribed cladding materials, colour palette and tower feature, the building commands a strong presence to the passing public.
Our interior design team led the design direction of the interior fit- out with the implementation of the Bank’s branding guidelines inclusive of finishing materials, colour palette , furniture and signage for way finding and branding.
The building was completed and commissioned in October, 2022.
