The original scope of this project consisted of the architectural design and interior fit-out for the Ministry of Education. The site planning consisted of a 16 storey main tower and a 5 storey ancillary building. The total floor area is approximately 1970 sqm (212,000 sqft)
With the considered juxtaposition of the 2 buildings a convenient pedestrian linkage between St. Vincent and Edward Streets was created through the site. This amenity breaks the public circulation of the city’s rigid street pattern.
The interior fit-out was undertaken with full collaboration from the Ministry of Education.
The open floor planning on the typical floors provided panoramic views of the city and the northern range in the distance.
The entire project underwent a protracted construction period from the original design, tender, build contract to a modified design -build contract.
G+P also provided FIDIC Engineering services on behalf of the Client (UDeCOTT) during the design-build contract in which our interior fit-out design was fully implemented by the selected contractor.
